Google and Sputnik help businesses find out what they can do

There’s a lot of talk about cloud computing right now and the benefits it can offer Business. Google needed to cut through the noise and promote trial of its Google Apps product so people could enjoy the benefits first-hand.
In response, Sputnik developed an integrated campaign which introduced Enterprise Business to the benefits of Google Apps (GMail, Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Video, Google Sites and Google Groups).
Built on the insight that Google Apps enables businesses to do things they previously couldn’t, we created the engaging and aspirational communications platform, “Find out what your business can do”.
Our hero piece was a nifty bit of direct mail which, through some clever paper trickery, switched messaging between self-empowering “I can…” statements and insightful product benefits. This work was complemented by targeted online advertising and emails leading to a microsite.
The campaign has driven so much trial of Google Apps for Enterprise Business that there are now plans to roll-out the creative concept through the Asia Pacific region.
Now all we have to do is work out how to say, “I can” in Mandarin, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Thai and New Zealandish.
